Mark Montondo (any pronouns) is a genderqueer writer, actor and the creator of drag character Ms Golden Delicious. After receiving a BFA in musical theatre at SUNY Fredonia in 2015, Montondo went on to pursue drag performance as Ms Golden Delicious in New York City, performing at venues like Joe’s Pub, Union Hall and the Duplex Cabaret, among others. She also co-created the first weekly Drag Brunch in Astoria Queens at Fresco's Cantina in 2018. Golden’s one woman show GOOD JOB! premiered in New York City before a successful run at the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Montondo has also taught the art of drag with the Focus Theater, the Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and Meetup.com. In February 2022, Montondo was awarded an MA in theatre and performance from the University at Buffalo, where they researched topics including queer theory, solo performance and the intersection of musical theatre and drag as a site of cultural and knowledge production. The Perfect, Fabulous Life of Ms Golden Delicious, Golden's sophomore solo effort premiered in September 2022 at the Rochester Fringe Festival.
